BY-LAWS OF THE HOLY FAMILY GUILD
ARTICLE I
NAME The Name of this organization shall be The Holy Family
Seminary Guild, hereinafter referred to as the Guild.
ARTICLE II
MEMBERSHIP Section 1. Membership in the Guild shall be open to all persons
interested in supporting the Holy Family Seminary, hereinafter referred
to as the Seminary. Guild members and officers must conduct
themselves at all times while on Seminary grounds, and in the presence
of members of the Seminary, with dignity and professionalism, and in
a manner that shows respect for others and for the Seminary as a place
of worship and the home of the
and their guests.
ARTICLE III
OBJECTIVES To assist the Seminary in furtherance of their work, by:
(a) fund raising projects
(b) any other assistance requested by the
ARTICLE IV
OFFICERS Section 1. The Officers of the Guild shall be President, Vice President,
Secretary and Treasurer, with the
Honorary Chairman.
Section 2. The Officers named in Section 1 shall be elected as provided
for in Article V. The President shall appoint all committee chairpersons
who shall select their own committee members.
Section 3. The Executive Committee shall consist of the elected officers,
the Honorary Chairman, and the chairpersons of all committees. The
Executive Committee shall conduct the business of the Guild between
regular meetings.
ARTICLE V
ELECTION Section 1. Election of officers shall be held at the regular monthly
OF meeting in April of each year.
OFFICERS
Section 2. The tenure of each elected office is limited to two consecutive
terms.
Section 3. A Nominating Committee shall present a list of candidates for
each elective office. Additional nominations may be made from the floor.
Voting shall be by secret ballot. Elections will be by the majority vote of
members present.
Section 4. If an office becomes vacant, the President shall appoint a
replacement.
ARTICLE VI
VOTING The voting privilege shall be limited to Guild members who have paid
their dues by February of the previous year.
ARTICLE VII
MEETINGS Section 1. The regular meeting of the Guild shall be held on the second
Sunday of each month after the 10:00 a.m. Mass, but may be re-
scheduled, as necessary.
Section 2. The President may call special meetings whenever necessary.
Notification shall be made of any such meetings.
Section 3. The President may convene Executive Committee meetings,
as required.
Section 4. Procedures at the meetings of the Guild shall be governed
by Robert’s Rules of Order.
ARTICLE VIII
DUTIES Section 1. The President shall preside at all meetings of the Guild.

OFFICERS
Section 2. The Secretary shall record the minutes of all Guild
meetings. The Secretary shall keep a roll of members, handle all
correspondence of the Guild, as well as other administrative duties
and responsibilities that may be necessary from time to time.
Section 3. The Treasurer shall be responsible for all financial
transactions of the Guild and shall submit monthly financial reports.
ARTICLE IX
REVENUES Section 1. All members are asked to contribute $10.00 per
person or $20.00 per family, payable in February of each year.
Section 2. Other revenues will include proceeds from fund raising
activities and contributions to the Guild.
Section 3. All revenue will be used to benefit the Seminary and the
Guild in support of the Seminary, as may be appropriate.
ARTICLE X
DISBURSEMENTS All income received by the Guild shall be deposited in an account
managed by the Treasurer. Routine disbursements to the Seminary
shall be made after the review and approval by the Guild
membership at a regular meeting of the Guild. Approval shall be
by majority vote of the members present. Other disbursements,
as required by the Seminary, may be made by the Executive
Committee between regular meetings,
